Totally unrelated to the markets here, but thought it might be worthy enough of a mention in here, especially considering how much this subreddit has been in the news this month. But, I think for the first time in my histry on Reddit (which has been like almost 8 years now), I made it (or my thread anyway) made it to the very top of r/WSB today lol. Look carefully at the name of the userame who created that most anticipated earnings thread on there. Yes, that'd be me. That being said, I'm honestly not sure if I should take this as a amazingly cool feat, or the most horrific one haha. Still, with all that's been going on in the news surrounding WSB this month, it's admittedly kind neat to see my thread as the top voted thread (as of this moment anyway) on that subreddit today.
oh man, that thread is now up to 10,000 upvotes on WSB. my previous all time record high for upvotes for a single reddit thread was 8,000 on r/stockmarket during the height of the covid crash. beat that pretty easily, and still going. not too shabby haha. it's crazy how many people guilded that thread too. yowza.
lol, i just had another "1st" on reddit (or at least on the WSB community lol) my happy v-day thread is a sticky thread on that sub. never had a thread as a green sticky on that sub
oh neato. my pre thread on r/stocks made it to the second top voted (excluding the green stickies) thread on that sub this AM. might mean more than when i had top vote on WSB, as i feel r/stocks is a much more respected stock reddit community, w/o all the memes and shitposts lol.
Nice! I think that there is a lot of potential for new members by providing content for an entry level subreddit like r/WSB. I know that r/Options gets a lot of overflow from people who are interested in taking a deeper dive than the WSB shenanigans and so this forum could become a place for similar members as well.
